To tackle the current moment of crisis, Fotogalleriet has asked reputable and young artists to guide us through their thinking processes, generating an alternative space for critical thinking and advocating new forms of freedom and togetherness.

For the seventh week of Let's Talk about Images 2.1.0, we are excited to announce a digital installation by visual artist and filmmaker Håkon Hoffart.

The virus has not only threatened our health, but also exposed fragilities in our societial structures. In parallel to the economic slow down, news stories about lowered emissions have emerged. These feel-good stories find their way back to our content farms where they are celebrated in the usual insipid ways.

What does it mean to honor a landscape? In a newly produced digital installation for Fotogalleriet, consisting of images, sculptures and videos, Håkon Hoffart will channel the content farm, the national bank and the bounty hunter. The installation will appear gradually over the coming week as posts on Fotogalleriet's Instagram, intersected by stories that fill in the blanks.

The themes of the installation will be further explored in a conversation between Hoffart and Herman Breda Enkerud, where the two artists will discuss the relationship between market, ecology and art, as well as the possibilities that lie within digital art spaces.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

His works has been shown at institutions and in exhibitions such as Western Exhibitions Chicago; The Hole NYC; Galleri 69; Kunsthaus Kule Berlin; and Kvit Galleri in Copenhagen.
